META ROMANTICS

Location: Beijing, China.

Year: 2022

The course introduces critical narratives and digital tools for architecture and design.  Echoing the theme of the 17th Venice Biennale, students will rethink affective (political and social) and spatial contracts that dictate ‘how we live together.’ How can we define domesticity and propose disobedient scenarios that challenge our lifestyles as part of a private space? We won’t be thinking about responsibilities but intimate relationships that define design and space as part of a digital lifestyle for the metaverse (4D).

Instead of just focusing on human relationships we are going to consider relationships, love and political contracts between human and nature inside the proposed space and ways of communicating inside the virtual world.
